Shipping Policy

To protect ourselves and our non-U.S.A. customers, we insure expensive items for their full value amount. Import duties for the European union apply to any item bought overseas whether or not we list it as a gift on the shipping manifest. These costs can be quite substantial and include a value added tax and a parcel force clearance fee. These combined charges can add up to 25% or more to your final cost. For other European countries, the charges will differ. Please check with your postal system on their procedure for packages from overseas so you are not unpleasantly surprised.

If you wish us to ship without insurance (low declared value):
If you are not in the U.S. and would like us to ship your expensive items uninsured with a low declared value (less than $100.00) so you can try to avoid import fees and taxes, we will not accept any responsibility for your package if it is lost or seized. Payment must be made by bank wire transfer, cash, or by money order. no credit cards and no PayPal.

For very expensive posters within the U.S., we ship very valuable posters by registered insured U.S. mail. This is the safest, most convenient, and most economical method available. Registered mail travels under lock and key, separate from the regular mail, and is signed for every step of the way. You must sign for the package when it is delivered to you. If you are not available to sign, don't worry. The postman will not leave it lying around like ups or FedEx sometimes does. You will receive a delivery notification that you can use to claim your package at the post office.

When can I expect my order to arrive? Why is my international order taking so long to arrive?
Orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours. Depending on whether you choose priority mail or priority mail express, within the U.S. it usually takes 1 to 3 days. Outside the U.S. it usually takes 4 to 7 days, sometimes longer if it gets held up in customs. We highly recommend priority mail express for orders outside the U.S.

We are terribly sorry if your international order has been delayed and appears to have been stalled in the tracking system. Sometimes international packages are chosen at random by customs for inspection, and sometimes they can be held indefinitely. It doesn't happen often (less than 3% of packages shipped), but it does happen. Sometimes they hold them for a few days, sometimes for a few weeks. Please understand that this is out of our control. It is highly likely that it will magically reappear in the system so you can track it again. In the highly unlikely event that it doesn't eventually arrive, we will refund you in full, as it is insured.

Our apologies for the ever-increasing U.S. postage rates. We always offer a choice between priority mail or priority mail express. Our packages normally weigh about 2 lbs. We use expensive shipping materials so your items do not get damaged. We don't make any money on shipping. The postage fee alone (not including packaging materials) is at least $56.00 to ship overseas by priority or over $75.00 if we ship by express. All items shipped by express or priority are insured, have tracking numbers, and their delivery can be confirmed by signature.

We apologize that we can no longer ship by cheaper airmail first class international with no insurance. Our experience has shown that packages shipped this way can easily get lost and/or sometimes take several weeks to arrive. There are no tracking numbers when airmail is used, and there is no way of knowing where the package is or if it is even delivered! You may be willing to take the risk to save a few dollars, but we are not. We strive to provide excellent service, and we just can't do that if we use an unreliable delivery method like airmail. Please do not fault us for not offering this cheaper, unacceptable shipping option.

We combine shipping at no extra charge. If you order more than one item and it is possible for us to ship them in the same package, we will ship your items together at no extra charge. Shipping is free (priority mail insured) for orders over $1000.00 placed at CineMasterpieces.com. Other shipping charges may apply if you purchase from us on eBay.

Packaging:
When you purchase a poster from us, we take extra special care when we package your item. For folded posters, we put the poster in a plastic bag or envelope and in between two or four pieces of strong cardboard and tape it together before placing in the shipping envelope/box. For rolled posters, we put the poster in a strong 3” or greater diameter tube with thick walls at least 3/16”, 1/4“, or thicker. We roll the poster into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is very important because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We then wrap with paper or put it in a plastic sleeve. We put some kind of soft cushioning material (also very important!) on the ends to further protect them from getting damaged. We then put this tube inside another triangular tube for even more protection.

Even with all this extra special care, sometimes posters do get damaged in transit. We use postal insurance just in case this happens. Generally, posters stand a better chance of arriving undamaged when they are shipped folded and not rolled. The post office has a bad habit of crushing tubes.

Payment Policy

Payment Options for U.S. and Non-U.S. Customers:
Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we want you to feel confident in every purchase. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your poster, we offer a simple return process to make things right. Please review the guidelines below for details on our return policy, special orders, and lifetime authenticity guarantee.

We accept: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay Personal Checks, Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Bank Wire Transfer.

Please note: For orders over $5000.00, payment must be made by one of the following: Bank Wire Transfer, Check, Money Order, Cashier's Check, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash.

We will not accept PayPal or credit cards for large purchases (over $5000.00). Full return privileges apply. For orders less than $5000.00 we accept all forms of payment including credit cards and PayPal. We do not accept Western Union.

If Paying by Check, Cashier's Check, Cash, or Money Order:
Please make payment out to CineMasterpieces and send with a copy of your invoice to posters@cinemasterpieces.com. All checks must clear before item will be shipped.

If Paying by Bank Wire Transfer:
Payment must be in the correct amount of U.S. Dollars. Please make sure we receive the exact amount specified on your invoice. We are not responsible for any fees charged by your bank. Please send us an email to let us know when you have initiated payment.

Payment Plan / Layaway:
Please email us directly to let us know which posters you are interested in purchasing. We can arrange scheduled installment payments for you over 3 or 4 months. We will automatically send you monthly invoices payable by PayPal, Credit Card, Bank Wire, or Check. Please call us at 480-973-6630 if you'd like to discuss this option.

Once the first payment is made the posters will be removed from our inventory and set aside for you. They will not be for sale anymore on our website, or on eBay. Installment payments are not refundable. Posters purchased on layaway can be returned for any reason. Please be aware there will be no cash refund. We will issue you full credit only towards the purchase of another poster or posters from us.

Return policy for most items:

We have an open and easy return policy so you can buy from us with confidence. Excluding special orders, posters on layaway (or hold), and posters we have linen-backed/paper-backed/restored and/or framed for you, the following applies to all posters, all posters that have already been linen-backed/paper-backed/restored, and other merchandise on this site: In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your purchase, please notify us immediately. You may return purchased items for any reason (unless they are damaged in shipment, see below) within 7 days of your receiving them (safely packaged & insured) for a full refund of the purchase price (less actual shipping), no questions asked! You must notify us before sending items back. Items must be in the same condition as originally sent to you or the return policy does not apply. Why do we have this policy for linen-backed/paper-backed/restored posters?
Once a poster has been restored, it is forever changed. Although the process is usually reversible, it is almost never done. There are some collectors who will not buy a restored poster, and they believe any poster that has been restored has lost some of its value.

FOR VERY EXPENSIVE POSTERS
Within the U.S., we ship very valuable posters by REGISTERED INSURED U.S. MAIL. This is the safest, most convenient, and most economical method available. If you are not available to sign, don't worry. The postman will NOT leave it lying around like UPS or FedEx sometimes does. SHIPPING FRAMED POSTERS
We are hesitant about shipping very valuable framed posters. We strongly recommend that you contact us and request that your valuable poster and custom frame be shipped separately. Both will be shipped fully insured, so there is zero risk. It is very easy to place your poster in our frame.
The reason for this is because no matter how carefully we manage to package and secure our frames, sometimes bad things happen. We use UPS to ship framed posters, and there is an approximate 10% chance that they will throw the box around enough to damage the frame and the poster. We have had several battles with UPS over the years trying to get reimbursed for a damaged package, and they will always find a reason to say no. They will gladly take insurance, charging us extra when we ship a package. But when a package is damaged and it comes time to pay, they will almost certainly find a reason not to. And there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Please understand that if you use our framing services for a very valuable poster and you want us to ship it to you framed, we will NOT be responsible if damage occurs during shipping. If your poster gets damaged, we will not reimburse you or give you credit, and you will not be able to get reimbursed from UPS.
If you want us to ship a very valuable framed poster to you, IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
This only applies to framed posters. All posters that are shipped unframed are always fully insured against any damage or loss.

Orders placed Sunday through Thursday are processed and shipped within 48 hours.

Why is your International Shipping so high? It shouldn't cost $60.00 to ship a poster!
There are 3 ways to ship internationally through the U.S. Postal Service:
Priority Mail EXPRESS - most expensive and quickest (3 to 15 days) with tracking number.
Priority Mail - less than EXPRESS but still pretty quick (7 to 25 days) with tracking number.
AIRMAIL - cheapest, very slow, uninsurable, unreliable, no tracking number.

This is VERY IMPORTANT because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We then wrap with paper or put it in a plastic sleeve. We put some kind of soft cushioning material (also very important!) on the ends to further protect them from getting damaged. We then put this tube inside another triangular tube for even more protection. We stamp “FRAGILE: DO NOT BEND” all over the outside of the package.
For framed posters, we have them professionally packaged before we ship them.
Even with all this extra special care, sometimes posters do get damaged in transit. Just blame the postman. We use postal insurance just in case this happens.
